Consortium assembly
Building delivery consortia
No single firm delivers an infrastructure project. We bring together the developer, contractor, operator, lenders and advisers able to carry a project from concept to financial close, and keep them aligned.
The problem it solves
A government counterparty wants a bidder that can design, build, finance, operate and maintain. An investor wants a delivery team whose references it can check. A contractor or operator wants a lead sponsor, a credible pipeline and clear economics before it commits bid resources. These interests meet in a consortium, and consortia are assembled rather than found.
We map the roles a project needs, identify the partners to fill them, and set the relationship down in writing: who leads, who contributes what, and how the economics work. Then we coordinate the group through the expression of interest, the bid and the agreements that follow.
What Ephesus delivers
- Role map for the project: lead sponsor, EPC, O&M, equity, debt, legal, technical, environmental and social
- Partner identification and introductions under NDNC, with know-your-counterparty checks on every member
- Memorandum of understanding and consortium agreement: roles, contributions, exclusivity, cost sharing and economics
- Expression of interest, pre-qualification and bid coordination with the government counterparty
- Lender and DFI engagement alongside the consortium’s financial adviser
- Coordination through definitive agreements, conditions precedent and financial close
Who we work alongside
EPC contractors and operators with African delivery records; developers and lead sponsors; lenders, DFIs and licensed fund managers; legal, technical, environmental and social advisers; the government counterparty’s own transaction advisers.
