What we do

We work on the part of an African infrastructure, urban-development or energy project that sits between a good idea and a signed, financeable agreement. Three services cover that ground, and every mandate runs through the same four-stage framework.

Investment facilitation

Connecting capital with projects

Introducing qualified projects to sovereign, institutional and private investors, and preparing both sides for a transaction.

Who we work alongside

We do not replace licensed professionals; we coordinate them. On every mandate we work with:

  • Licensed fund managers where a pooled vehicle is used
  • Legal counsel in the host country and the investor’s jurisdiction
  • Lenders and development finance institutions
  • Technical, environmental and financial advisers
  • EPC contractors and operators
  • Government PPP units, ministries and agencies

Ephesus is a project-development, PPP advisory and investment-facilitation firm. It is not licensed by the Capital Markets Authority of Kenya or any other securities regulator and does not act as an investment adviser, fund manager, broker-dealer or placement agent. Our remuneration is set out in written engagement letters; we receive no undisclosed commissions.
